Astronomy Groups
Dumfries Astronomy Society (DurAS), founded (1992) by Mark Toner. Members meet monthly (2nd Tues.) at the Georgetown Community Centre, Dumfries.
Galloway Forest Astronomical Society (GFAS), founded in 1998 as the Wigtownshire Astronomical Society (WiAS), by Helen Macdonald. Renamed in 2011 to reflect the change of location of meetings. Members meet at Newton Stewart Centre, Church Street, Newton Stewart.
