Border Astronomical Society (BorAS), founded in 1971, first meeting at the Morton Youth and Community Centr in Carlisle. Members now meet at their observatory at Trinity School Observatory, Strand Road, Carlisle, Cumbria (CA1 1JB).
Cockermouth Astronomical Society (CocAS), founded 2006 (?). Members hold monthly meetings at St Joseph’s Church Hall in Cockermouth.
