Observatories: Derbyshire

Flamsteed Observatory [FO] (1982- ), established by the Derby and District Astronomical Society at Brailsford the observatory houses a society 12-inch reflecting telescope with sketal tube on an English Yoke mounting.

Chesterfield Barnett Observatory [CBO] (1960- ), established by the Chesterfield Astronomical Society at Hastings Cl., Chesterfield. Opened in 1960 by the Astronomer Royal, Dr Richard Woolley, it houses an 18-inch closed tube reflecting telescope on a German equatorial mount in a domed observatory (Brown 1996).

Queen Elizabeth Grammar School Observatory [QEGSO] (2017- ), Green Road, Asbourne, established by the school, in conjunction with the White Peak Observing Group, who donated the telescope. The domed brick-built observatory houses a 14-inch SCT catadioptric telescope with equatorial fork mounting. It is run as a teaching and community observatory.
