Central Lowlands

Unofficial geographical region, also called the Midland Valley for the Scottish Lowlands bounded by the Southern Upland and Highland faults.  It covers the populous region between the Firths of Clyde and Forth moving west to east. It includes the counties of Clackmannanshire, Dunbartonshire, East Lothian, Fife, Kinross-shire, Lanarkshire, Midlothian, Renfrewshire, Stirlingshire and West Lothian.
