Bath Astronomers (BaA) founded 2010 from the original Bath Astronomical Society that was formed in 1976. The group is the observing arm of the William Hershel Society (WHS).
Beckington Astronomical Society (BecAS), founded (?) for people interested in astronomy from Bath, Frome & Warminster. Members meet monthly at Beckington Baptist Church Hall, Frome Road, Beckington (BA11 6TD).
Bridgwater Astronomical Society (BridwAS), founded (?). Members meet monthly (2nd Wed.) at Bawdrip Village Hall, Bawdrip, Bridgwater (TA7 8PY).
Crewkerne And District Astronomical Society (CreDAS), founded 2002. Members (50 – 2018) meet monthly at the village Hall, New Road, Norton-sub-Hamdon, (TA14 6SF).
Somerset Levels Stargazers (SLS), founded (?). Members meet mothly (4th Wed.) at Othery Village Hall, Fore St., Othery (TA7 0QS).
South Somerset Astronomical Society (SoSAS), founded (?). Members meet monthly (2nd Tues., Sept. – May) at Queen’s College, 6th Form Centre, Trull Road, Taunton.
Wells and Mendip Astronomers (WMA), founded 2013, to enable local astronomy and space enthusiasts to enjoy, share and develop their interests and skills. The group holds monthly meetings at Wells & Mendip Museum.
The William Herschel Society (WHS), founded 1977, to spread knowledge of the life, work, and times of Herschel and his family. Lectures on astronomy, are generally held monthly (1st Fri.) at the Bath Royal Literary & Scientific Institute, Queen Sq., Bath.
